What if we get an error message?
Amira displays an error message for audio and system compatibility issues. Amira will verbally prompt the child to get your help -- "Oops. We need help. Raise your hand so that your teacher will come help us.”
Here is what you can do if you come across an error message:
Amira displays an alert when it detects a disabled microphone.
If the problem persists, clear the browser cookies and cache, reboot the device and try again. More on clearing cache and cookies here.
This message displays before your child begins to read. Amira displays an alert when it detects a muted microphone on a headset.
If the headset microphone has a physical mute button, unmute it.
Keep in mind that your child should not need a headset if they are reading in a quiet place at home.
Amira displays an error when it detects an unsupported browser or browser version.
Switch to a supported browser or update the current browser to a supported version. Refer to Hardware: Computers, Network and Headsets to learn which browsers and devices are supported.
